This 1969 Jaguar E-type was driven only 9,702 miles over the first 5-10 years, by the original owner and his son. When the son joined the army, the car was put up on blocks and stored. When the father passed away the car was sold by the estate in January of 2008. The second owner drove the car a couple of hundred miles, and then decided to do a complete nut and bolt
restoration. The restoration took over 6 years (2011-2016) and the cost is estimated to be over $130,000. A full set of documents are available verifying the work that has been done and the cost.
It would have seemed that this car should have just been mechanically refreshed, since the car would obviously have been one of the best survivors with minimal mileage and still shod with the originally fitted wheels and Dunlop SP tires and interior leather was in excellent condition. The car has the original engine, gearbox, starter, alternator and AC compressor still fitted.

A book with detailed notes made by the mechanics comes with the car. Branch Honda in Palm Beach, Florida did 37 hours of restoration work. The engine was restored by Coventry West in Jupiter, Florida at a cost of $7,062.00. Plus additional work amounting to $2,740.00 for labor. The interior was completely redone by Complete lnterior Restorations, lnc. in Chamblee, GA at a cost of $14,230.00. Miscellaneous parts purchases from a multitude of suppliers, including SNG Barrett, Welsh Enterprises add up to another $32,388.
After the restoration, the car was vetted by two Jaguar specialists. Both of whom are top marque specialists for Jaguar and who are familiar with Jaguar judging standards.Both experts praised the overall standard of restoration.
Hagerty values a 1969 Jaguar Series 2 OTS in concours condition at $160,000.00 Jaguar Club of New England gave this car a score of 0.9987 at their concours in June 2017. Documentation is available for all quoted costs. This car is truly unique in condition and should bring its next owner much pleasure whether it is used for long distance touring, competition or daily driving.
